Shape your professional future
Customer orientation and social marketing are indispensable for the optimization of internal processes. For managers, this means developing an organizational and leadership culture that promotes employee motivation and commitment.
You will learn in the Master's programme Management in Social and Health Care:
- to assume leadership responsibility
- make personnel decisions
- control costs
- services for sale
- to fulfil customer wishes
- design business processes
- to successfully conduct negotiations
Special attention is paid to corporate and personnel management as well as customer orientation. In study projects, you combine your practical experience and problems with the scientifically sound study content.

Introduction to the study contents
You are studying part-time for four semesters. The fifth semester is reserved for your Master's thesis. The programme comprises 90 ECTS credits and is divided into attendance and self-study phases. One credit point corresponds to approximately 30 hours of work. This includes lectures, seminars and study letters, preparation and follow-up work as well as examinations. You organise self-study on your own responsibility. The attendance phases are divided into six weekend blocks per semester. The special feature of the Master's programme "Management in Social and Health Care" is its practical orientation on a scientific basis. Here, projects assume an important bridging function between theory and practice.

Career & Perspectives
"This is why the management master was so worthwhile for me, since almost all current social topics are linked to the economic and management-oriented tasks in the social economy. The teaching of theoretical basics for applied practice was also a real benefit for me".
Indra Baier-Müller, Chairwoman of the Board - Management, Diakonie Kempten
"Students and alumni repeatedly emphasize the very high quality of our lecturers. I quote from our evaluation forms: MEGA, SUPER, GENIAL,... and our students always transform their MBA degrees into professional success and even find themselves as the social ministers of a federal state"!
Professor Dr. Axel Olaf Kern, Dean of Studies
"The social and health system will change rapidly in the coming years - and not only in Baden-Württemberg. From e-prescription to 3D printing to increasing networking: digitisation requires excellently trained specialists who use empathy and expertise to ensure that our social and health care system will continue to be efficient, innovative and tailored to needs in the future. The Master's programme in Management in Social and Health Care at the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences offers an ideal basis for this. I am very happy to think back to my own study time at the university and wish the current and all future students at the MSG an insightful, profitable and happy time".
Manne Lucha, Minister for Social Affairs and Integration, MSG graduate
