What is Girls' Day?
Girls' Day is all about you: girls and genderqueer people in the STEM subjects, i.e. mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology, but also in the trades and research.
This annual day of action, which takes place in April, is designed to introduce you to the wide range of professions and increase your motivation to work in these fields. In a safe environment, you can ask questions, try out new things and experience how exciting STEM can be. Until now, it has mainly been men* who have worked in STEM professions. Women* make up less than 20% of the workforce. We want to change this, because we are convinced that women* can do STEM too!
At RWU, you can take part in special Girls' Day workshops from the seventh grade onwards in the areas of computer science and design and technology and mobility can take part.
As soon as the program for Girls' Day has been finalized, you will find the workshops on offer and the registration form on this page.
Impressions of the last few years
So far, the students have been able to program Lego robots, take photos in a photo lab, measure their hair with measuring equipment, change colors by adding acids and observe chemical reactions.
Boys' Day takes place at the University of Education Weingarten at the same time. The aim is to make boys and genderqueer people aware of occupational fields that are predominantly occupied by women*. This applies in particular to social professions.

If you attend another school, you can of course also take part in our workshops. Simply register privately. In both cases, you will receive confirmation that you have taken part in our event.
