In the event of time-critical emergencies in Weingarten's upper town, the first responders are alerted as on-site helpers (HvO). As trained paramedics, we provide medical care at the scene until the emergency services arrive. We also provide medical services at student parties, sporting events and graduation ceremonies at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) and Weingarten University of Education (PH Weingarten).
Formula Student is the world's largest design competition for students, which was founded in 1981 by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) in the USA. The competition combines the "gray theory" of colleges and universities with practical experience on and off the race track. The competitions at the end of the season are the highlight of Formula Student.
The GROW Lab is all about connecting founders, experienced entrepreneurs and students, supporting each other and learning from each other. Regular meet-ups and a dedicated coworking space allow people to work together on ideas and get direct feedback.
HOME is the makerspace on the RWU campus. Students from all disciplines come together here and use our services to realize projects from a wide variety of fields.

Under the motto "Studying is more!", we organize lectures on exciting topics about different departments, institutions or projects for several lunch breaks during the semester - always on Wednesdays during the lunch break.
There are more and more Bachelor's graduates in nursing - but there is a lack of concepts on how they can be deployed profitably in the various institutions. To encourage other nursing students, Fabian Schoppenhauer and Lucas Schliz have founded the "Initiative für akademisierte Pflege e.V." association. However, the network is not only intended to help members exchange ideas, but also to develop joint ideas for improving working conditions in nursing. With the association, the students want to give nursing staff a voice in various committees and represent their interests. It is also very important to them to promote social recognition of the nursing profession and to campaign for fair pay.
With the Kørsel project, we offer students and pupils as well as anyone interested in robots a simple and inexpensive robot platform to build and expand.
Tools can be borrowed from the Repair Café in Weingarten and RWU students offer their help with repairs.
The Robocup is the largest championship for robotics worldwide. The RWU team has been successfully participating in the @HOME League for several years with the service robots from the Institute of Artificial Intelligence.
The members of the university group "Rover 2 Mars" (R2M) are constructing a Mars rover to take part in various competitions.
