How to find your way around the RWU campus

RWU University is located on a campus within walking distance of Weingarten. To make it easier to find your way around, each building has been assigned its own letter abbreviation.

Building A

The rooms of the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing are located here. You will also find the Nursing Laboratory, the First Responders and the Central Student Advisory Service here.

Building B

This is where the rooms of the Faculty of Technology and Management, the QM metrology department, the CAD master laboratory, 3D printing and the IxL laboratory are located.

Building C

Here you will find the Language Center, also known as CLIC, the Audimax, CAD and technology laboratory, management software laboratory and the Constituted Student Body.

Building D

Here you will find the rooms of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, numerous workshops for forming, machining and measurement and control technology.

Building E

This is where LAB4DTE, the Institute for Applied Research and the Institute for Artificial Intelligence, also known as IKI, are located.

Building F

The university library is located here.

Building G

Here you will find rooms of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and PC laboratories.

Building H

Main building of RWU. The Rectorate, Computing Center, Student Administration Office, Printing Center and several workshops and laboratories are located here.

Building J / E-Mobility Lab

The building is called the E-Mobility Lab or X-LAB and has around 400 m². It is located directly next to RWU's main building.

Building K

This building is also known as the Didactics Center. It houses a LearningLab, an Immersive LearningLab, a film and podcast studio and the learning café. The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science student council also has a room here.

Building L

Robotics laboratories and rooms of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science are located here.

Building M

We share this building with the University of Education. Here you will find some lecture rooms, the staff council and the parent-child office.

Building N

Here is the Natural Science Center, which we share with the University of Education.

Building P

The International Office is located here.

Building T

The rooms of the degree program media design and the photo studios are located here.

Building V

The rooms of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science are located here.

Learning on campus

Do you sometimes wonder where you can study in peace or develop ideas together with others? There are rooms at the university and in the university library that are ideal for learning and working. Whether alone or in a group, there is a suitable place to study for every need. We also offer you the following at the Didactics Center support and learning opportunities such as the MINT consultation hour or individual writing advice.

Tea and coffee are also available at certain times. You can find the times on the page of the Didactics Center and are also displayed on site.

Immersive LearningLab in K 002: bookable for student learning and working groups

You can study in room K 002a if no event is taking place there. For larger events, the room may be combined with K 002 and both rooms may not be available for studying for a short time.

Laboratories

The RWU campus is home to numerous laboratories in a wide variety of areas. Starting with the CAD Automation Lab, the Didactics Center and the GROW Lab through to the Systems Engineering Lab. Here you can try out a variety of techniques and become active yourself.

Canteen

The canteen is operated by Seezeit and is located at the Doggenriedstraße stop, between the Didactics Center in Building K and Building V. The daily changing menu for lunch is varied. There are also snack vending machines and a selection of organic and fair trade coffee specialties.

University library

The Weingarten University Library supports students at RWU and Weingarten University of Education in their research, teaching and studies. The university library is located in the Fruchtkasten building at Kirchplatz 2.

Opening hours:
Monday to Friday: 9:00 to 20:00
Saturday: 9:00 to 16:00

H.O.M.E.

Here you can try your hand at 3D printing, IT, wood and textile processing and electronics. You will also find the bicycle workshop here.
