Arrive safely
Whether it's to the university, into the city or for excursions in the region: good mobility makes everyday student life easier. On this page you will find information on the most important means of transport, discounts and offers so that you can travel flexibly and cheaply.

On the road with public transport
By paying the re-registration fee, students automatically pay a solidarity contribution that entitles them to do so:
- Monday to Friday from 6 p.m. and
- Saturdays from 4 p.m. and
- all day on Sundays, public holidays and December 24 and 31,
on presentation of a valid student ID and photo ID, to use all buses and trains in the entire BODO network area (with the exception of DB long-distance ICE/IC/EC trains).
Student ticket
A StudiTicket can be purchased for any number of journeys by bus and train within the network area. This is available on presentation of a valid student ID and photo ID. Directions & campus map
The extensive RWU campus is easy to reach, whether by bike, car, bus or on foot.
There are several bus stops on the campus:
- Doggenriedstraße bus stop
- University bus stop
- Weiherweg bus stop
as well as parking spaces for students and university staff. Two tws pedelec rental stations are located in front of the A-building on Leibnizstraße and on Konrad-Huber-Straße.

Living
Living well during your studies
Studying marks the start of a new phase in your life. For many, this also means moving to a new city and into their first four walls. Most RWU students live in Weingarten, Ravensburg and the surrounding area. Some students who come from the region stay at home and commute to the university. Whichever form of accommodation you ultimately choose: Shared accommodation, your own four walls or a room in a student hall of residence depends on your individual wishes and needs, but also on your financial situation.
Private housing market
To find a reasonably priced room or apartment, it is advisable to start your search early. Here are a few tips on where students can find rooms:

Living in a hall of residence
For students, the two student services organizations offer Seezeit Bodensee and White Rose offer inexpensive rooms in Weingarten and Ravensburg. As places in halls of residence are in high demand and are not sufficient for all students, it is advisable to apply early for a room in one of the halls of residence.
