What is the RWU?
RWU is the abbreviation for Ravensburg-Weingarten University.
This is the English translation for Ravensburg-Weingarten University.
The university was founded in 1964.
RWU is a state university for applied sciences.
This means that the knowledge acquired is also applied in practice.
For example, there is an internship semester in which students research and work in companies.
You can study over 30 degree courses at RWU.
The courses are divided into the fields of social sciences, engineering and business.
A total of 3,500 people are currently studying at RWU.
How can I apply?
To study at RWU, you need a certain school-leaving qualification.
This school leaving certificate is the Abitur.
It is also possible to apply with the Fachhochschulreife.

Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) has created the website www.rwu.de.
The university wants everyone to be able to use the website easily.

What is the RWU?
Welcome to RWU! In this video we would like to briefly introduce you to RWU. RWU stands for Ravensburg Weingarten University. Our German name is Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences. But we decided to use the abbreviation of our English name because we have a strong international focus.
RWU was founded in 1964 and is a university of applied sciences. This means that the knowledge we learn is also applied in practice. For example, there is an internship semester in which students research and work in companies.
Over 30 degree courses
3,500 young people are currently studying at RWU. Our courses can be divided into the fields of technology, business and social studies. There are 20 different Bachelor's degree programs to choose from. Some of them are also offered in English. RWU students come from around 70 different countries. All Bachelor's degrees can be continued at RWU with a Master's degree. We currently offer 12 different Master's degree programs, some of which are part-time. In addition, RWU now also offers the opportunity to do a doctorate, i.e. to obtain a PhD.
Students are at the center of our work at RWU. We give them the tools they need to pursue their careers independently in a practical and collaborative way. We combine teaching with applied research and work on the social challenges of our time, with regional roots and a global network.
How do I find my way around the RWU website?
Welcome to our website! In this video we explain how to find your way around our website.
The navigation bar is located on the left-hand side of the website. The RWU logo is at the top. If you click on it, you will be taken to the homepage. Below this are the main menu items. These are "Find your studies", "Studies", "University", "International", "Research", "News & Media" and "Contact".
At the bottom of the navigation bar are the input window for the search, the option to choose between German and English and a button to switch to the "internal" website.
Where can I find the RWU degree programs?
There are square tiles on the homepage. Clicking on these tiles leads to thematic groups of RWU degree programs, for example "Health and Social Affairs" or "Technology and Mobility" or "Business".
There is also a tile that leads to the list of "All degree programs". You can also access this overview of degree programs via the menu. To do this, first click on "Studies" in the left-hand navigation bar and then on "Study programs". You can then filter this list according to various aspects, for example Bachelor/Master or German/English.
Where can I find more information about RWU?
Click on "University" in the main menu. There you will find further information about RWU, its history and a list of staff and contact persons.
How do I register for a degree program?
Click on "Find your degree program" in the main menu. Then click on "Application and enrollment". There you will find out how to apply, what deadlines apply and what you need to submit.
