Training offensive meets practice

berufsbegleitend Management im Sozial- und Gesundheitswesen

In line with the German government's current campaign for lifelong learning and qualification, RWU offers individual seminars in the field of management in the social and healthcare sector as a low-threshold and flexible entry opportunity for specialists and managers who want to develop personally and take responsibility for shaping care.

"Good education throughout life is the prerequisite for social participation and employability. Vocational continuing education plays a major role here and enables each individual to exploit their potential and take advantage of opportunities, including integration," says Karin Prien, Federal Minister of Education, Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, at the National Continuing Education Conference in Berlin at the end of November.

Can be integrated directly into everyday working life

RWU has been following this approach for a long time with its continuing education seminars. The modules, which can be taken individually, offer content that not only refers to academic Master's programs, but can also be integrated directly into everyday working life. The content ranges from leadership development, moderation and presentation techniques to specialized topics such as social economy, quality and organizational management.

RWU thus appeals to a broad target group - from experienced practitioners to junior managers who want to gain further qualifications in a flexible and practical way. The combination of RWU's proven educational framework and the current social need for professional development makes the course particularly relevant.

"The offer supports me in my motivation as a long-standing practitioner to keep my skills up-to-date and agile, especially in a professional environment with a high pressure to change," says Ramona Engel, Project Manager at Spital Thurgau AG, who has already taken part in several further training seminars.

Why is the offer particularly important now?

In times when a shortage of skilled workers, demographic change and increasing demands on the social and healthcare sector are challenging the industry, "vocational training has a central role to play", as Federal Education Minister Karin Prien puts it. RWU seminars offer the concrete opportunity to meet this requirement without having to complete a full Master's degree.

Lecturer Arne Mack formulates his view of the continuing education seminars as follows: "In terms of lifelong learning, the seminars are an important offer for the social and healthcare sector. As a lecturer, I can provide valuable impetus and develop professional skills."
