Why enrolling in the study program “Internet and Online-Marketing"?

The digitaliziation has brought a tremendous change to the field of marketing, while hardly any other industry is currently experiencing such rapid growth as the internet industry. At the same time, there are far too few skilled employees. The study program Internet and Online-Marketing fills this gap.

Designing user-friendly online stores and websites, planning and executing advertising campaigns on Instagram, Facebook and Google, recording and analyzing the behavior of internet users on websites or taking over corporate communications for companies. Graduates of this course of study will be able to master tasks like these.

Course content

Digital Marketeers need to have strong competences on the interfaces between business management and modern technologies. The content of the study program Internet and Online Marketing covers both to prepare the students for the challenges in the new era of digititalization. A theoretical foundation is laid in courses such as Online Marketing, which is then applied in practical courses such as Search Engine Marketing. A focus is laid on the business relations and business transactions between companies and consumers.

Career opportunities

Unlike in established industries, there are no typical job profiles in the internet industry. On the contrary, there is great dynamism. The professions are not very standardized - but offer future-oriented development opportunities. Especially in industries that have direct contact with consumers. For example - in the retail, consumer goods, internet, publishing, telecommunications and advertising sectors.

Jobs can be found in the online editorial departments of publishing houses, in press relation and marketing departments or in social media teams of medium-sized and large companies.
