In the summer of 2026, RWU piloted a new international teaching format for sustainable energy systems called “ELEVATE Energy.” 

RWU student Cornelius Wilnhammer traveled to Sweden to spend the winter there during his semester abroad at Karlstad University. 

Could robots soon take over the fruit harvest at Lake Constance? Researchers from RWU and DHBW, in collaboration with the companies InMach and vision&robotics, have developed a prototype robot for this purpose. It was tested in the field for the first time in the apple orchards of a fruit farm in Kressbronn.

In July, students at RWU built a mobile green oasis as part of a sustainability project. It is intended to be a shaded place to relax and can be used in the future both on the university campus and in the city of Weingarten.

75 students from the School of Social Work, Health, and Nursing graduated from RWU this summer semester. At the graduation ceremony, the graduates received their diplomas and celebrated with family and friends.

Since 1987, one million students from Germany have studied or completed internships abroad with the support of ERASMUS. RWU Ravensburg-Weingarten University has been accredited as an ERASMUS institution since the 1990s.

RWU will soon be offering a new bachelor's degree program. Digital Engineering combines computer science, engineering, and modern production technologies.
