Get a Taste of College Life: RWU Opens Lecture Halls to Prospective Students
What is it like to study at a college or university? What topics are students and faculty exploring? And which degree program best suits your interests? During the fall break, RWU Ravensburg-Weingarten University is offering prospective students the opportunity to find answers to these questions right on campus. From October 26 to 29, 2026, they can choose from a diverse program of regular courses and experience everyday university life firsthand.
Whether it’s artificial intelligence, psychology, business administration, mechanical engineering, media design, or social work: the program offers insights into various disciplines and degree programs. Participants can decide for themselves which classes they’d like to attend—no registration is required. Just come to the campus in Weingarten.
Study Orientation Without Major Hurdles
With this initiative, RWU aims to make it easier for young people to explore academic options and provide them with an authentic glimpse into university life. Instead of relying solely on degree program descriptions or information sessions, they can experience firsthand what is taught in the programs and how a lecture is conducted. They’ll also have the opportunity to talk with students and professors.
The program is aimed in particular at high school students who are considering their college choices and would like to learn about different types of universities and fields of study. No prior knowledge is required. A campus map on the website helps participants find the lecture halls.
With this trial lecture program, RWU is supplementing its other student orientation initiatives, including the Student Information Day on November 18, 2026. This event offers another opportunity to learn about degree programs, ask questions, and find out more about studying at the university.
The complete program, including all dates, times, and rooms, is available on the RWU website at: www.rwu.de/studieren-probieren
