Under the motto “Successful. Equal. Empowered.”, the 2026 WOMEN’S ECONOMY DAYS will take place in Baden-Württemberg from October 15 to 24. RWU is part of a collaboration among organizers in the Lake Constance–Upper Swabia region.

On October 21, RWU will focus on careers and leadership. “Women on the Path to Leadership” is the title of the panel discussion featuring guests from academia and the business world. “Numerous studies indicate that mixed leadership teams composed of women and men achieve particularly good results,” says Barbara Niersbach, Vice President of RWU and Professor of B2B Marketing. But what is the current state of women’s representation in leadership positions? Where do the obstacles and challenges lie, and how can support structures be designed? Following an opening presentation by Prof. Dr. Barbara Niersbach, Vice Rector of RWU, Dr. Jutta Nübel, an independent communications trainer and adjunct professor at DHBW Ravensburg, Markus Folz, Vice President of HR at the Rafi Group; Prof. Dr. Claudia Sassenrath, Deputy Equal Opportunity Officer at RWU; and Simone Maisenbacher, a business succession consultant.

Through October 24, a diverse range of online and in-person events will also address women in leadership, business succession, starting a business, returning to the workforce, mental load, collaboration, and financial self-determination. There will be a “Walk & Talk” session on career orientation as well as a company tour for women at ifm.

The WOMEN’S ECONOMY DAYS are organized by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism. In the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region, a coalition of regional organizations and institutions is coordinating the program.
