Profile

Our team is responsible for recruitment and HR support at RWU. We accompany you from your application with us to the time you leave our university. In doing so, we always attach great importance to finding the best possible solution for all parties involved.

For applicants

We are pleased that you are interested in working at RWU. You can get an impression of working at RWU here. If you feel that we would be a good fit, we would be happy to receive your application to one of our current job openings.

If you have specific questions about an advertised position, please contact the person listed in the job posting. If you have any general questions about the application process, please do not hesitate to contact the Human Resources Department.

For professors and employees

The Human Resources Department accompanies the university's employees and professors from the hiring or appointment process through ongoing support to the time they leave the university. For example, we take care of contract extensions or prepare references. All of this is done in cooperation with the Staff Council and is coordinated with the Representative Council for Severely Disabled Persons, the Equal Opportunity Officers, and the university's facilities and faculties. At the same time, we are the interface to the State Office for Salaries and Benefits in Fellbach.

Employees and professors can contact the Human Resources Department with anything related to their employment or civil service relationship. This can include questions about the ZEUS time recording system, salaries, secondary employment or contract extensions. We are also happy to provide support if solutions are required for family constellations regarding the employment or civil service relationship. These may include, for example, requests for part-time work or parental leave. The Human Resources Department is available to employees and professors as a service department. The HR department attaches great importance to responding to individual needs in order to find the best possible solution for the individual and the university.

For graduate and student assistants

Graduate and student assistants perform support activities for research and teaching and assist students in tutorials. In principle, enrollment at a university is a prerequisite for employment. The remuneration is based on the remuneration rates of the state of Baden-Württemberg. If you are interested in such a position, please contact the faculty secretaries or your professor.

For Freelance lecturers

Teaching assignments are given to supplement the teaching offered (seminars and lectures). The employment of dedicated part-time freelance lecturers takes place within the framework of a public-law employment relationship. Do you have a university degree, pedagogical skills and an interest in practice-oriented teaching? On the RWU homepage you can get an overview of the degrees offered and the range of subjects. Are you interested? You are welcome to contact the faculty secretariats.
