When the bridges break...

This year's bridge building competition on December 2 was once again a resounding success - literally: The bridges built by 10 participating teams were tested for their load-bearing capacity. The teams and the guests in attendance waited with bated breath for the moment when the structures made of wood, glue, cardboard, paper, rods and string reached their breaking point and shattered loudly. Three groups of participants were able to beat the other groups with their bridges. Insights can be found in the picture gallery.
