RWU Ravensburg-Weingarten University produced four program trailers during the summer semester of 2026—one for each faculty. These short videos, in the so-called “Study Snack” format, each provide a concise and easy-to-understand introduction to a bachelor’s degree program and are designed to give prospective students a first impression of the respective academic offerings. The goal is to raise the profile of these degree programs and help young people navigate the process of choosing a major. The degree programs featured are: Automotive Engineering (see video above), Health Economics, Business Informatics, and Digital Engineering.
Focus on Students
The trailers focus on the students themselves. They share firsthand accounts of their experiences as students, their daily life on campus, and the unique aspects of their degree programs. To provide the most authentic insights possible, the videos feature not only professional footage produced in collaboration with an external film studio: but also mobile phone footage from students, taken directly from lectures, labs, projects, or campus life. This creates an honest and vibrant picture of what studying at RWU is all about.
Getting Started with Academic Orientation
The Study Snacks thus not only provide prospective students with information about the content and career prospects of the degree programs but also give them a sense of the people and the atmosphere behind them. Those in the academic orientation phase can quickly assess whether a degree program aligns with their own interests and whether it’s worth exploring the program in greater depth. With this new format, RWU is expanding its information infrastructure to include a modern and particularly accessible approach to choosing a degree program. Additional episodes in this series are planned for the future.
