Two more professors at RWU Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences are now members of the Baden-Württemberg Doctoral Association. This means that all of the university's faculties are now represented.
Professor Dr. Jörg Wendorff and Professor Dr. Wolfram Höpken are new members of the Baden-Württemberg Doctoral Association. This expands RWU's presence in the association to 5 professors and extends this opportunity for doctoral studies to all four faculties. A total of 364 professors are currently listed in the Baden-Württemberg Doctoral Association.

- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Wolfram Höpken - Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Till - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ralf Stetter - Faculty of Mechanical Engineering
- Prof. Dr. Jörg Wendorff - Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing
Motivation for membership
"In the field of social work and nursing, there have hardly been any opportunities for employees to do a doctorate at an HAW; I would like to give some of them the opportunity and pave the way for them to possibly succeed me in a few years or become a professor at another university," says Jörg Wendorff, describing his motivation for his membership.
For Wolfram Höpken, the supervision of doctorates is an essential building block in the structure of young academics: "The opportunity to directly supervise doctorates within our Institute for Digital Change will enable us to further intensify our research activities - I hope that this will strengthen our research profile for RWU as a whole."
Henning Rudewig, Chancellor at RWU, continues to be part of the association's Executive Board and has also been part of the Scientific Advisory Board since December 2025. This advisory board advises the association on scientific issues and makes an important contribution to quality assurance and the further development of the right to award doctorates at universities of applied sciences.
