Curriculum vitae

Prof. Dr. Bernd Michelberger studied Business Informatics at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences and Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences. During his doctoral studies at the Institute for Databases and Information Systems at the University of Ulm, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Applied Research at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences. After completing his doctorate, he held a managerial position in the »Machine Learning & Analytics« division at Bosch Financial Software/actico GmbH.

Since September 2021, Bernd Michelberger has been a Professor of Business Informatics in the »Digital Business« department, teaching in the degree programs Internet and Online Marketing, Business Informatics, and Business Informatics PLUS (teacher education). His research focuses on data science, digital business, business processes, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and project management.

In addition, Bernd Michelberger is a lecturer at the Hector Children’s Academy, where he is actively involved in supporting gifted children. He develops and teaches computer science courses for primary school students, including »Planets of Informatics« and »Creative Computing«. His aim is to inspire children’s interest in computer science at an early age and to provide them with a creative approach to topics such as programming and logical thinking. He also trains teachers so that they can independently deliver the courses.
