Support Association of the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences e.V.

The Förderverein der Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten e.V. has set itself the task of being a network in matters of education and science. A network that, with its headquarters in the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region, also has a strong, international appeal. In keeping with the university motto: "Rural Base - Global Face". Private individuals as well as institutions and companies are involved in the sponsoring association. The association supports specific university projects, the equipment of laboratories or publications and awards prizes for special student achievements.

What does the Association do?

The Förderverein der Hochschule Ravensburg-Weingarten e.V. make their presence felt both in front of and behind the scenes. It regularly makes financial resources available and thus supports, for example:

• selected university projects
• the equipment of laboratories
• publications and advertising measures of the university
• the exchange with the regional economy
• the promotion of final theses
• prizes for special achievements by students.

The funding is generated from membership fees and donations. Non-material support is at least as important as monetary support. The members of the sponsoring association are ambassadors of the university, representing its offers, but also its needs in very different social contexts.

Who is involved?

Public figures from politics, business and culture are represented in the association, as are private individuals, companies and social institutions. They are all interested in the existence and further development of the Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences, whether because they are professionally connected to the university, because they studied here themselves, or simply because they have recognized the importance of the university for the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia region and would like to make a contribution to its future.

In addition, the commitment to scientific work increases the attractiveness of the region for specialists and executives. A membership in the sponsoring association facilitates the access to the competences and people of the university and promotes networking.
