Weingarten - The lecture on Wednesday, June 17, will deal with some fundamental questions and myths about the German healthcare system. Does Germany have the best healthcare system in the world? Would a uniform citizens' insurance scheme make the system fairer? Do we have too few doctors and nurses? Would it be fair if smokers had to pay higher contributions? When it comes to these and other complex healthcare issues, there are usually two or more sides to the truth.

Professor Dr. Jan-Marc Hodek is Dean of Studies for the Bachelor's degree course in Health Economics at RWU. He has been Professor of Financial Management in Healthcare since 2014. His work focuses on the economic analysis of healthcare facilities and the underlying health policy framework.
