Weingarten - 87 Bachelor's and 39 Master's graduates received their certificates at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Together with their families, friends and numerous guests, the 126 graduates celebrated this special milestone at the university. Ceremonial speeches, the presentation of certificates and prizes, musical accompaniment and a reception afterwards provided a worthy setting for the completion of their studies.
Professor Dr. Bela Mutschler, Head of Faculty, welcomed the graduates. With a view to artificial intelligence and automated solutions, he appealed to the graduates to critically question who benefits from technological developments, what they make visible and which aspects may be lost. He gave them the following advice for their future career: "To be successful in professional life, you need to make your own thinking fly."
Professor Dr. Barbara Niersbach, Vice-Rector for Research, International Affairs and Transfer, conveyed the Rectorate's congratulations. She motivated the graduates to courageously continue on their path, even if it is not straightforward: "Keep going: don't stop, keep going, even if the path becomes confusing. Keep going, even if you have to change direction. And above all, keep moving towards each other."
