A warm welcome to all new employees and professors at RWU. We hope you all had a good start.

Michael Abler, 57, who comes from Kressbronn a. B., has been working at RWU since mid-September. He previously worked in outpatient and inpatient care for the elderly and in hospital in various management roles. As he himself studied at the university 20 years ago, he accepted the position as an academic assistant on the Bachelor's degree course in Social Work. He is particularly looking forward to interacting with students and colleagues in his work as a lecturer and the recognition of academic achievements. He finds a balance to his everyday work in mountain sports: ski tours, hiking and climbing.

Professor Dr. Christoph Ellenrieder is 36 years old and comes from Lindau. He previously worked at RWU as a research assistant and doctoral student. Since mid-September, he has been Professor of Electromobility in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He particularly appreciates the informal working atmosphere and is looking forward to contributing his own ideas for the continuous improvement of teaching. Outside of the university, he enjoys working with electronics, 3D printing designs and building small pieces of furniture.

Also since mid-September, 43-year-old Tobias Emele from Weingarten has been working in Technical Operations as a janitor.

Ilona Frey (52), comes from Berg and likes to spend her free time doing lots of sport, traveling and with her family. As she has already been involved in several projects at the university - including the Talent Scanner project and the SPAM project for university didactics - she is now looking forward to the challenge of the new FSU project for university didactics. There, she is responsible for the didactic implementation of the new Digital Media Strategist course. Above all, she is looking forward to working in the team and the exciting tasks in the project. She also works 50% at the Liebenau Foundation, where she is building up the E-Academy.

Susanne Helle is originally from Hamburg and now lives in Wasserburg on Lake Constance. The 34-year-old was previously Environmental and Sustainability Manager at Friedrichshafen Airport. She chose the university because of the familiar, modern and dynamic working environment. She has been the state's climate protection manager since mid-September. Although she is based at RWU, she is also responsible for the universities of Ulm, Biberach, Albstadt/Sigmaringen, Weingarten University of Applied Sciences and DHBW Ravensburg. Susanne Helle is looking forward to supporting climate protection and climate change adaptation at universities and making a difference together with her colleagues. Outside of work, she enjoys being in nature and practicing yoga.

Lucy Lehmann (51) was most recently a sales assistant at Columbus Leasing and is looking forward to a family atmosphere and a lively, diverse community at the university. As a member of the International Business Management & Sustainability MBA course, she appreciates the international focus and the opportunity to develop herself further. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading and spending time with her family.

29-year-old Daniela Schmid, who was born and grew up in Kluftern near Friedrichshafen, works as an information manager at RWU. She is responsible for vulnerability management and awareness measures with SoSafe. This interesting area of responsibility was the reason why she applied for the position at RWU after completing her studies at RWTH Aachen University.

Dr. Johanna Schütz (40 years old) has worked in various areas after holding positions at non-university research institutes, a university and a university of applied sciences. These include junior researcher programs, research, science management and communication. Since December, she has been working at RWU in gender equality, gender equality controlling and the gender strategy professorship.

Beate Stehr has been working as a quality management officer since mid-September and is responsible for the preparation and implementation of ISO 9001 certification for the administrative area. The 44-year-old lives in Grünkraut, but comes from Weingarten. Before her parental leave, she was a quality engineer and team leader at the automotive supplier Cooper Standard in Lindau. Beate Stehr chose the university because she found a family-friendly atmosphere here and the part-time position offered her the opportunity to return to work. She finds a balance to her everyday working life with her family and in various sports courses.

Alina Strasser is 25 years old and comes from Erlangen. Before joining RWU, she worked at BBA Global Project & Change Management in Zwolle in the Netherlands. She has been coordinator for the TAKEoff preparatory semester since November. She is responsible for advising and supporting students, as well as marketing, evaluating and further developing the program. As Alina Strasser completed her entire Bachelor's degree abroad and represented her own university course as a working student in Student Recruitment & Communications, she is already familiar with both sides. She is therefore particularly looking forward to the informal atmosphere, working in the International Office, getting to know the university world and exchanging ideas with students from abroad. In her free time, she enjoys reading about psychological and political topics, dancing salsa and is a member of a feminist theater group.

Susan Rosendahl grew up near Dresden and worked there for several years in the International Office of the Technical University of Dresden. She was also Head of the Dual Master's Office at the DHBW Center for Advanced Studies. Between 2023 and 2025, she took over the project management in the context of the internationalization of RWU. She has been back at RWU since December and is now responsible for the formal legal structure of the Future Science University project and the accreditation of the degree program. She acts as an interface between the project and the administration. At the university, she looks forward to working with all colleagues across departments. In her free time, she volunteers as a representative of the German Society for Mycology and therefore enjoys exploring the forests around Ravensburg.

Stefan Rupflin is 49 years old and comes from Weingarten. Before starting his mini-job at RWU in mid-December in the field of electrical testing, he was a service technician for invert test benches. He is particularly looking forward to working with nice colleagues at RWU. He spends his free time skiing, tinkering with electronics and listening to music.

We also welcome Felicitas Lange in Student Services, Christoph Muster in Technical Operations, Susannah Sibbertsen in CLIC and Ann-Kristin Ströhle in the Faculty of Social Work, Health and Nursing.
