Berlin social pedagogue and educational scientist Thomas Sonnenburg was a guest at RWU for the seminar "Streetwork - a method of social work".

With his highly acclaimed TV format "Die Ausreißer - der Weg zurück"  (The runaways - the way back), he brought the field of street work out of the "public black box". Thomas Sonnenburg has been working at Gangway e.V. - Verein für Straßensozialarbeit since 1993 and today offers a wide range of educational programs for unemployed and job-seeking people through his Thomas Sonnenburg Academy.

The seminar offered the opportunity to gain a practical and reflective insight into this complex field of work, accompanied by clips from the series. "The nice thing about it," says Professor Dr. Julia Wege, "was that despite the prominence of the speaker, it was possible to exchange ideas at eye level."

The students' feedback was correspondingly positive: "We gained exciting and vivid insights into the field of street work and prevention, how to deal with clients and our own values."
