Christoph Weber has been at Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences since 2001 and has now been honored for his 25th anniversary of service. Chancellor Henning Rudewig warmly congratulated him and thanked him for his many years of service with a certificate of thanks from the state of Baden-Württemberg.
The rarity of the Physical Engineering degree program in the 1990s and the beautiful Lake Constance region convinced Christoph Weber to study at RWU and, years later, to join the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science as an academic assistant in various degree programs.
Insights into 25 years of university life
In his 25 years at RWU, Christoph Weber has witnessed many developments - such as the growing number of students and increasing internationalization. He greatly appreciates the fact that the university has continued to evolve: "RWU is becoming more and more colorful and cosmopolitan, and manners have become more relaxed over the years - you notice that in our interactions." It is particularly motivating for him to see when students - despite initial difficulties - eventually "click" and master their theses.
But Christoph Weber is also connected to RWU outside of work: A good three years ago, he joined the Lake Constance-Upper Swabia Academic Sailing Club, for which he also previously obtained his sailing license. He also derives his advice to new colleagues from his enjoyment of new challenges and collaborative activities: "Take advantage of the opportunities at RWU to contribute your own ideas and start new projects. We have so much scope here to try things out that you rarely find in industry."
