
A well-rounded yoga class for relaxation, stress management, and back health that draws on foundational yoga texts while staying current with the latest science.
Yoga classes begin with gentle movement exercises, which are coordinated with appropriate inhalation and exhalation. At the same time, attention is directed to a focus (e.g., breath movement, body location, or imagination). This can lead to a state of physical and mental relaxation. In the course of the hour, the exercises are increased to a medium level of effort. For more difficult exercises, a gentler variation is also offered. The hour ends with a relaxation exercise, e.g. a body journey or breath relaxation.
