The mentoring and qualification program "Traumberuf Professorin Plus" will enter its third round in 2026 to inspire and prepare talented women for teaching and research at universities. All universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg (HAW) and the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) have joined forces for the program under the umbrella of LaKof BW. The aim of the program is to raise awareness of the professorship at a HAW/DHBW and to introduce talented women to the university landscape.
The joint project Traumberuf Professorin Plus offers mentees:
- 1:1 mentoring with a professor
- Tailor-made qualification offers
- Exchange and networking with like-minded people
- An inspiring space for professional development
Personal contribution for the mentoring year 2026: a total of 275 euros.
"Thanks to Traumberuf Professorin Plus, I have not only found my dream role, but also made wonderful friendships," sums up Professor Dr. Josefine Denzin, mentor and former mentee of the program. In addition to the numerous networking opportunities, the main focus is on practical insights into the professional field. Professor Dr. Marlene Haupt sees that mentees are unsure when it comes to balancing career and family. As a mentor, she therefore values the intensive discussions in which she can "provide practical insights and support them in their decision-making". According to Marlene Haupt, the program contributes to changing the imbalance in the professorship landscape in the long term with "targeted support, networks and visibility".
If you would also like to take advantage of the opportunity to build a unique network and lay the foundation for your professorship, you can apply via this link (start round 3, January 2026): https://www.traumberufprofessorin.de/mentees/bewerbung/
