Programming, designing and testing

Would you like to find out how your favorite apps and computer games work? Do you want to write code, control robots or develop your own little games? Then you've come to the right place! During Code Week, we'll show you how much fun technology and programming can be. Regardless of whether you already have experience or are immersing yourself in the world of coding for the first time: with us, you can playfully try things out, tinker and learn new things. We also offer open hands-on activities for interested people of all ages. Whether you're a child, teenager or adult, everyone is welcome.

School classes can also register in advance and take part in special workshops. Topics range from AI and robotics to app programming and websites. The workshops are led by our professors, and students of the relevant subjects will tell you exactly what studying in these areas is like.

Computer Science Day

Our "Computer Science Day" at RWU is part of the Europe-wide Code Week: a week of activities to get children, young people and adults excited about technology and digital topics. Numerous universities, libraries, companies and associations throughout Germany are taking part to get young people excited about programming and tinkering.

In Baden-Württemberg, Code Week is organized by the Vector Foundation and organized by the creative workshop Tinkertank organized by the creative workshop Tinkertank. As the "Day of Computer Science", the event is in the tradition of the long-standing and established event series "Night of Computer Science" at RWU.

Hacker School

Hacker School was founded to get children and young people interested in programming. Hacker School has a vision: "We use various formats to consistently pursue our goal of ensuring that every young person learns about programming before deciding on a career. By involving companies, schools, networks and politics, we make this goal a task for society as a whole, which we want to solve successfully. Our mission: With our low-threshold courses, we inspire young people, especially girls and young people from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, to learn programming and teach them the skills they need for the future."
