ASAP-BW Award for RWU students

The "Skinmate" team which includes RWU students Marina Osterberger and Leo Heinrich won the award in the "Business Model" category of the ASAP-BW pitch competition. The innovative business idea convinced the jury.

With the app "Skinmate", the young team creates a digital companion for people with skin problems. This is made up of a broad set of AI-supported features and offers a unique and, above all, holistic solution. Affected people are taken by the hand on their journey and receive fast, individual and effective support.

"We are very pleased that our concept is so well received," said co-founder Leo Heinrich. "This award motivates us immensely to continue pursuing our vision." The team received advice from Professor Jürgen Graef and the RWU startup center LAB4DTE, among others, to develop their idea into a successful concept. "Skinmate" was thus able to establish itself as a promising startup and is now ready for its next steps out into the world.

Start-up BW

In order to maintain the state's competitiveness and economic strength and to strengthen its reputation as a startup state both nationally and internationally, the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics has launched the "Start-up BW" state campaign. The startupbw.de Internet platform maps the regional ecosystems and institutions and contact data relevant to startups in the state.

One of the competitions within the Start-up BW campaign is the "Academic Seed Accelerator Program Baden-Württemberg" (BW ASAP). The statewide competition for students at Baden-Württemberg colleges and universities is designed to motivate student start-up teams to develop the creative ideas they develop during their studies into business models and put them into practice, and forms a bridge between teaching and the offers of intensive support for start-up projects.
