DIGITAL CHANGE NEEDS DECISION-MAKERS

The increasing globalization and digitalization of markets is leading to massive cost and competitive pressure for organizations.  Today, innovative digital products and services must be brought to market maturity in shorter development cycles.

Digital technologies enable more extensive availability of data (e.g. big data, especially real-time data) and an intelligent use of data (e.g. operations research methods and data science).

This in turn requires decisions for new digital strategies and business models, while the implementation affects almost all areas of an organization (processes, IT, organizational structure, leadership, ethics and culture).

IT support for these decisions is an increasingly important factor that is critical to the success of organizations.

In a nutshell: Mastering the use of digital technologies and their impact on the organization (digital transformation) is the challenge of the digital future.

The aim of the Master's degree program is therefore to provide a sound knowledge in the areas of Digital Business & Optimization, Management, Computer Science as well as corresponding key qualifications to impart.

STUDYING THE MASTER PROGRAM DIGITAL BUSINESS WITH NON-INFORMATIC DEGREES

As a consecutive continuation of the Bachelor's study program in Business Informatics, the Master's study program offers a balanced mix of traditional business administration and computer science. With a focus on Digital Business. At the same time, there is a special focus on practical orientation in all courses.

The organization of the on-campus courses during the lecture periods allows them to be held over three days.

By the way: With a non-informatic degree, an individual study plan with bridge courses or bridge semesters will be created for you.

EXCELLENT CAREER PROSPECTS

As a graduate, you will work both in specialist departments and in IT, often as a consultant, software developer, software architect, process manager, project manager or enterprise architect. Typical tasks include the conception of IT strategies, IT portfolio management, the further development and design of corporate and IT architectures as well as tasks in the area of project and business process management.

Graduates act as an interface between IT and business and thus connect the worlds of business administration and IT. They are therefore bridge builders. The activities on the job market are diverse. The demand for graduates will continue to grow strongly in the future and cannot be met today!
