The climate protection measures at RWU have been given a new face. Not only in the person of the climate protection manager Hartmut Gräter but also an adaptation of the RWU logo with the claim "Good Climate 2030" will illustrate the measures in this area in the future and expresses the importance of climate protection at RWU.

"The claim formulates one of our central goals: Climate protection measures should not stand in isolation, but rather enable good teaching, learning and working conditions within a holistic framework," says Hartmut Gräter. "We have the best prerequisites for this in the RWU university family. Right from the start, I have experienced positive feedback and diverse support. Together we can achieve a lot."

Since May 2022, the state's climate protection manager who is based at RWU in Weingarten has analyzed the situation at the university and exchanged views with many stakeholders. This resulted in a roadmap as a guide that guarantees the rapid development of an energy and climate protection concept.

There will be various participation formats to ensure good results and stable anchoring in everyday university life. "Good ideas and constructive criticism are equally welcome," says Hartmut Gräter.

The logo "Good Climate 2030" was selected from a series of designs developed by Robert Heissmann, research assistant in the media design program.
