IDAHOBIT Bunt Plus im Mensapark

On May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia, Bi-, Inter- and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), people around the globe show color and protest against the discrimination of LGBTIQ+ people. On this day 32 years ago, homosexuality was removed from the World Health Organization (WHO) ICD-10 diagnosis code. Since that day, loving who you love is no longer considered a "disease." The WHO removed transsexuality from the list of mental illnesses only in 2018.

In the Mensapark of the RWU students have shown solidarity yesterday. The student association Bunt Plus organized a get-together to show: Weingarten is COLORFUL! "We  want to make a statement today and create visibility on campus," says Laura, who is involved with BUNT Plus. The university group supports students from the LGBTIQ+ community and meets on Tuesdays during lunch break at HOME.
