    On an area of about 400 m² the X-LAB right next to the main building enables scientists to work on new e-mobility concepts. The X-LAB is based on a close cooperation between the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Faculty for Mechanical Engineering.

    "X" - like fleXible

    The flexible hall-concept, which is supported by an interdisciplinary scientist group - the Institute for E-Mobility (IEM) - enables teaching and researching on modern mobility concepts.

    All test benches, structures and projects in the X-LAB are planned to be mobile to ensure an optimal flexibility for research projects and lectures with the following main emphasis:

    • Electric driving
    • Autonomous driving
