Your challenge: Understanding, analysing and interpreting developments

The German and international economy urgently needs qualified engineers who can drive change and thus advance companies. We are looking for skilled workers who are able to develop and sell innovative as well as marketable products or services and thus secure the technological lead and prosperity of our society.

Our task is to train these skilled workers, provide them with the necessary knowledge and bring them into the companies. With us, young people learn to develop complex system solutions, highly motivated and with a great desire for technology and performance, and thus help to shape progress. After graduation, bright prospects await them in industry and research - worldwide.

Your studies: Entrepreneurship in theory and practice

With our Master's programme in Technology Management & Optimisation (TMO), we offer industrial engineers in particular, as well as graduates of other technical degree programmes, a variety of opportunities to deepen their knowledge and skills around technology and business contexts.

The focus is on products, production and marketing. They learn to understand future developments, to assess the potentials and to optimally align companies and their products and services with them.

The degree programme imparts competences, tools and methods to further develop companies and organisations. In terms of content, the focus is on the interface between technology and management. Well-founded know-how from the areas of cyber-physical systems, digitalisation, production design, automation, simulation and production technology forms the basis. Finally, the challenge is to optimise processes, distribution systems and business models.

Your job: Developing organisations and optimising processes and models

With excellent training, our TMO graduates have bright prospects for the future. A wide range of jobs opens up for them, especially in technology-oriented, innovative companies.

You bring with you the basics of a broad engineering education from your Bachelor's degree. And - above all - the desire to drive things forward, change and improve with a high methodological standard. Because with the TMO Master's degree in your pocket, on the one hand you occupy typical fields of activity of an industrial engineer, such as the areas of process design, production or marketing of technical products - all of which have optimisation potential. On the other hand, you will sit at the control points of an organisation, i.e. where the course for its future orientation is set. You know what will be right and important tomorrow and determine the direction of travel.
