Technology of the future, products of tomorrow

Germany's successful economy, and especially its successful industry, is based on the development and production of a wide variety of innovative and very good products. Their development is an extremely dynamic process in which many partners are involved. Creative, efficient, competent and communicative development engineers are the basis of success.

Development engineers shape the technological future of our society and significantly influence its sustainability. A superior and comprehensive knowledge of product development (development methodology, simulation, lightweight construction, materials, production,...) is essential. This course of studies focuses on conveying these comprehensive product development competencies for tomorrow's products.

You want to develop innovative products. Technology fascinates you. Do you like working in a team and enjoy trying things out and discovering new ways? It's the same with us. We are a motivated team of experienced professors and well-trained laboratory engineers and look forward to supporting you in the development of your comprehensive product development competencies.

In a pleasant, personal atmosphere, we convey the comprehensive basics of product development (development methodology, simulation, lightweight construction, materials, production,...). In challenging projects (e.g. in cooperation with research projects or companies) you will then tread new innovative paths in product development.

Career and prospects

Product development is the core of successful companies. This course of studies offers committed graduates of Bachelor courses of studies and graduate engineers from the practice the chance to shape the future of enterprises actively. After graduating with a Master's degree, all paths to becoming a project or department manager in leading industrial companies are open, as is a career in higher education.

Successful industrial companies live from the fact that they continuously develop, produce and market very innovative and extremely robust products. For this they need excellently trained engineers. The aim of the Master's programme is to expand and deepen their skills in the development of innovative products through a well thought-out curriculum. Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded the title of Master of Science (M.Sc.), which gives you the opportunity to work directly in industry as a responsible engineer or to start a doctorate.
