The products of mechanical engineering range from everyday products such as coffee machines, machine tools and power generation systems to motor vehicles and aircraft.

Mechanical engineers shape the technological future of human society. Core elements are the digitalization of production, automation, sustainable mobility and the facilitation of the energy revolution.

Design and implement machines and systems

You want a practical engineering degree. In our excellently equipped laboratories you will be able to experience all facets of mechanical engineering for yourself. In challenging projects you will acquire sound knowledge for the engineering profession. We are a motivated team of experienced professors and well-trained laboratory engineers and will teach you all aspects of mechanical engineering in a pleasant, personal atmosphere. Specialists with industrial experience are available for your training in all areas.

The job description of an engineer is characterised by a special diversity. Successful industrial companies as well as public authorities and associations offer possible fields of work. Engineers shape the products of the future; daily work is characterised by a lot of communication and exciting activities in developing, testing and optimising the various products. Engineers have detailed methodological and specialist knowledge and the ability to solve problems. The demand for engineers is enormous as a result of the growing engineering gap, the earning opportunities lie in the top group. Mechanical engineering companies offer excellent working conditions and outstanding social benefits. 

After the successful completion of the studies the title Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) is awarded, whereby you have the possibility to work directly in the industry as an engineer or to acquire a master's degree at universities.
