Mobility, technology and environment

People's need for individual mobility is unbroken. Electromobility offers opportunities to meet this need in a sustainable way. The energy transition is leading away from fossil fuels to electricity from renewable sources such as wind, water and sun.

We are in the midst of a technical and social transformation around the topics of mobility, energy and climate. Engineers in these fields are in great demand. Only through technical innovations can the future challenges in the fight against climate change be met. Become active and shape your own future!

... and after graduation?

Job prospects in the mobility and energy sectors are currently very good. Current surveys (e.g. VDI, VDMA) confirmed that

  • the demand for engineers in these fields is unbroken
  • At 2.5%, these sectors have one of the lowest unemployment rates.
  • Companies in these fields are modern and offer an excellent work-life balance.

Professions in the following areas are particularly in demand

  • environmentally friendly technologies
  • renewable energies
  • AI
  • autonomous driving
  • robotics
  • new recycling systems

All areas are addressed in the electromobility and renewable energies degree programme, so that you are perfectly prepared for the start of your career.

E-mobility and Green Energy (DE) is an entirely German spoken course starting in winter every year.

All lectures, practical trainings, exams etc. are German spoken throughout all semesters.

International Students see E-mobility and Green Energy (EN), which offers this course English spoken in summer every year.

Basic Studies in E-mobility and Green Energies[DE] comprise elementary subjects in sciences, engineering and languages, as they are

  • English as a foreign language
  • electrical engineering
  • electronics
  • physics (mechanics)
  • mathematics
  • programming
  • electrodynamics
  • mechanical engineering e.g. automotive-engineering.

During Main Studies period specific contents of E-mobility and Green Energies are:

  • electrical drives,
  • renewable energies
  • energy storage or
  • hybrid drive technologies.
  • microcontroller technologies and
  • programming and for example
  • digital signal processing

Fifth semester is a practical semester.
Students will work almost autonomous on a subject related to e-mobility or energy management in enterprises in the region of Lake Constance, across Germany or even abroad.
