Relevance of the course

It would be great to have more business informatics at school, wouldn't it? If you can also remain flexible with your studies and don't have to commit right away? If you choose our Business Informatics PLUS Teacher Training programme at Ravensburg-Weingarten University, you keep your options open. As a teacher at vocational schools, with the subsequent Master's degree in your pocket. Or as a business informatics specialist in a company, right after the Bachelor's degree.

This is the right place for anyone who is enthusiastic about business studies and computer science and wants to use this knowledge in business or as a teacher.

Introduction to the study contents

With our interdisciplinary Business Informatics Plus Teacher Training programme, we make several goals possible at once. In addition to the comprehensive knowledge of economics and computer science during the degree programme, valuable methods from educational sciences as well as pedagogical and didactical content are added. This is made possible by the cooperation between Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences and Weingarten University of Education, which combine their competences in this joint degree programme. This dual qualification is a great advantage in the teaching profession - and is also becoming increasingly important in companies.
Good to know: Of course, the acquired knowledge is also applied. In the course of the study programme, two school internships and a practical semester are planned in order to gain valuable experience early on.

Career prospects

The primary career objective of the degree programme is to pursue a teaching profession in the higher teaching profession at a vocational school, e.g. at a technical grammar school or at a vocational college. With further qualification, via our Master's programme, the subjects of computer science, business administration and economics can be taught. However, many graduates decide to work in a company or become self-employed when they complete their Bachelor's degree. The high professional flexibility of the degree programme makes this possible. The fields of work in industry, services, trade, crafts, education, health and administration are very diverse and offer good earning opportunities. Also internationally.
